How can Hepatitis C be treated? * * * * ˙

This animation explains the goals of Hepatitis C treatment, the current treatment, the limitations, and potential new treatments.

Approximately 170 million people globally are living with hepatitis C with more than 5 million people in Europe alone. Hepatitis C is a curable disease, yet only about 3.5% of infected people are currently receiving treatment. That’s because people may not know that they are infected as symptoms of liver disease may not appear for years, be non specific or limited to fatigue! Therefore, there is no way of knowing how many people actually have this silent disease. This fact alone will have a huge financial impact in the years to come.
